The Historic Haile Homestead at Kanapaha Plantation is owned by the Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT), Gainesville, FL, and the Haile family trust. A one-half interest in the house and 40 acres of surrounding land were donated to ACT in 1996 by members of the Haile Family.

The Artisans' Guild Gallery is the city's only source for regionally-produced handmade fine arts and crafts. The gallery was organized in 1970 and boasts over 50 members. We are proud to have been voted by Gainesville Magazine as the best place to buy a handmade gift.
